BMCR is South Australia’s leading bicycle repair workshop, and has been a specialist in precision servicing, custom builds and suspension work for over 20 years. In addition to excellent customer service, we’re focused on detailed, accurate technical work.

We’re searching for a cycle mechanic with extensive experience who's looking to continue a long-term career in the industry.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Someone who is already regarded as a highly skilled bicycle mechanic, and has extensive bicycle workshop experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and learning in increasing your skills as a mechanic.
• Excellent organisational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and to a schedule.
• Experience in customer service and retail sales, including computer skills and typing proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Someone who takes a lot of pride in their work, and maintains a fastidious level of attention to detail.
• Someone who is passionate, reliable, extremely motivated and able to follow directions well.
• Someone who is willing to be involved in all aspects of the workshop and shop floor.
• Someone with a passion for bikes and cycling.
• Someone looking for a long-term position and a career in the bicycle industry, not just a job.

JOB SUMMARY

Your role will include servicing a wide variety of bikes, including high-end custom builds, covering everything from mountain and road bikes to tourers and basic commuters. (Note: no ebike experience required, as we don’t work on ‘em.)

You will also need to be able to cover retail sales, and deal with a wide range of cyclists in a friendly and professional manner.

There will also be a probationary period of 3 months for any successful applicant to make sure everyone's happy, including you!
