Comfortable, adaptable, durable -- and a touch of scarlet

Mark was looking to expand from road riding into gravel riding. His new bike would be used mostly off-road, but still need to retain the ability to go on-road.
He also really likes red things.
A little bit of road and a lot of gravel? That would be a Bossi Grit SX frameset to the rescue.
The Grit is a versatile beast, and is comfy enough for all-day rides but also has the extra tyre clearance required for those technical rides when you want more tread.
For a groupset, we opted for Shimano GRX in a 2X setup to give Mark closer ratios, and not such a jump between gears when he's riding on the road. Did we go for Di2? Of course, because if you can go electronic, you go electronic.
A Bossi wheelset with 40mm carbon rims would give Mark the aerodynamic properties he was looking for, paired with a grippy and durable pair of Panaracer Gravel King Slicks.
Easton carbon EC70 AX bars offer a great mix of lightness and comfort, and we continued the comfort theme with the SQ-Lab 611 saddle, a model Mark already loved.
All we needed to do were the finishing touches: a hand-painted head tube and chain stay, plus -- the cherry on top -- a matching Garbaruk top cap.
This red-tinged Bossi was ready to roll.

After buying a brand new bike from overseas, I was very disappointed with the brakes. I took it to my LBS and was told to throw the brakes away and put some others on it. I took it to BMCR, who gave them a quick bleed and adjustment. They went from Formula Frigged to Formula Frigging Awesome. Best…Charles Hatcher
