Mark's Bossi Grit

Elegant, versatile and comfortable

Home / Custom Builds / Mark's Bossi Grit

The brief

Gravel roads, fire roads, single track -- Mark was keen to explore his local trails, and wanted a titanium bike that could handle them all with style and comfort.

It's a Bossi Grit to the rescue!

The bike

Mark wanted a build that would fly under the radar. (Hey, not everyone goes for a look-at-me colour scheme.)

In addition to being a smooth and capable ride, the Grit is an incredibly versatile frame: you can dress it up or dress it down however you want.

We started with a Shimano mixed Di2 groupset in a 1X setup to keep things sleek and efficient.

The cockpit was an Easton medley of carbon EC70 AX gravel bars, for lightness and nimble handling, matched to an alloy EA70 stem. Ciclovation's gravel-specific Advanced Grind Touch handlebar tape was the obvious choice, and black was the obvious colour.

On the other touch-point, an SQLab 614 Active gravel saddle ensured that Mark would be as comfortable and efficient as possible.

Grounding the whole build was a lovely set of carbon DT Swiss GRC 1400 wheels, matched with Mark's favourite Cinturato Gravel H tyres.

The result? A ti gravel bike which will never go out of style.

What You Say

My wheel is excellent after your hub service. I had been to another bike shop close to me twice within days with the wheel cones and cassette coming loose after both services (very frustrating and disappointing not to mention waste of money and time) before I came to BMCR.
