Bossi Summit | Marilyn's Custom Build

A true forever titanium bike

Home / Custom Builds / Marilyn's Bossi Summit

The brief

Marilyn wasn't happy with her current road bike, and was looking for a replacement. Moreover, she wanted her new bicycle to stay with her for the rest of her life -- a true forever bike.

The bike

Marilyn has been a dedicated road cyclist for years, but needed a more relaxed position for her new bike. She also wanted a frameset that could take larger tyres than a traditional road bike.

With these factors in mind, the Bossi Summit was clearly the way to go.

It's hard to beat Shimano Ultegra Di2 for the perfect blend of quality and affordability, so this was our groupset of choice. Di2 also gives the ultimate reliability in shifting, so why wouldn't you pick it?

A pair of Bossi carbon wheels gave the performance Marilyn was looking for, and carbon Easton EC70 SL handlebars offered reduced weight and excellent vibration damping.

Finally, some finishing touches. As Marilyn's favourite colour is blue, we hand-painted the headtube logo and seat clamp inserts to suit, and added some colour-matched Easton cork tape. The theme was nicely topped off by the logos on the SQ-Lab 612 Active saddle (a model she had tried before and loved) and durable but light Panaracer Pasela tyres.

All the little details added up to one stunning custom Bossi Summit, one that will be travelling the roads with Marilyn for many years to come.

What You Say

You guys are amazing! Best service I have had in a long time in any shop and easily best service I have ever had a bike store. Great communication, listened, reasonable priced. You absolutely nail everything. My friends had all said great things about you and they under-sold the service. Very…Tristan Johnstone
