Bossi Grit Display Build

Because it's nice to show off sometimes

The brief

The problem with building display Bossi bikes is that inevitably someone snaps them up almost as soon as they hit the shop floor. (Technically, this is a nice problem to have.)

Fortunately, we managed to get a photo shoot done on this one before it was whisked off interstate by its new owner.

The bike

This Bossi Grit was built up with a SRAM Force HRD groupset, with some Garbaruk components sprinkled in to create a 1X setup with a huge 10-50 cassette.

It was also the ideal opportunity to spec a trio of Redshift products: the versatile Kitchen Sink handlebars, and the suspension Shockstop seat post and head stem. The Shockstop post and stem work incredibly well to smooth out the bumps in the road and take pressure off your hands.

As a finishing touch, Pete manufactured some custom headset spacers for lightness... and just because he could. (Hey, we've got a lathe and we take our fun where we can get it.)

Overall, this is a superb example of how the Bossi Grit can be configured. That's the lovely thing about a custom build — you can have whatever you want!

Missed out seeing this one? Don't worry; we have another one here for you to drool over. For now...

What You Say

It ran like a dream in the adventure race. I especially appreciated the work you did on the brakes; lots of people complained that theirs weren't working properly and mine were solid all day. There was an awesome downhill and some people had to walk their bikes due to a lack of braking...Ray Scheuboeck
