Tim's Bossi Grit SS

Speed and comfort in one gravel-ready package

Home / Build Gallery / Tim's Bossi Grit SS

The brief

Tim was looking for a gravel bike, and instantly fell in love with the Bossi Grit SS frameset. Could we create a light, nimble, titanium gravel bike that would turn heads and eat up rough roads?

You know it.

The bike

Bossi's Grit SS takes the spirit of the ever-popular Grit gravel frame and adds DNA from their road-driven Strada SS to create a lighter, faster and more aerodynamic frame. It's sleek yet practical (yup, it's got mounting points), making it the perfect base for a bike that could handle multiple terrains at speed.

For the groupset, we went with a combination of SRAM and Garbaruk components for the ideal blend of performance, lightness and aesthetics. Paired with a set of Bossi carbon gravel wheels, this setup promised both speed and style.

Tim had used Redshift suspension stems on previous bikes and loved them, so that was an obvious choice for the cockpit -- perfect for absorbing all those bumps and corrugations that gravel roads throw at you. Easton's carbon EC90 ALX handlebars are also excellent for shock absorption, making it an ideal combo for all-day comfort.

On the saddle end of things, we opted SQLab's for famous 614 gravel saddle atop a Bossi carbon seatpost. More flex, more comfort, more control, because no one should suffer through a ride feeling like their hands and rump are about to fall off.

Some final blue touches via the beautiful Garbaruk top cap and our in-house airbrushed frame elements, and this Grit SS was ready to roll.

"What a beautiful build this bike is! I can confirm it has certainly impressed my riding group," says Tim.

Mission accomplished.

I was going to email you last Friday after riding the Bossi. It's fantastic and feels like a whole new bike. It's super smooth and quiet. The new tyres are great too. I rode the Focus on Sunday and had a similar experience. The last two Thursday nights I've been out on trails with…Chris Bradley
