From a complete rebuild to a general service, Bio-Mechanics Cycles & Repairs offers mechanical servicing second-to-none in our state-of-the-art workshop.

As well as performing all standard services and repairs, we also offer specialist work in:

• Front and rear suspension servicing,
• All disc brake repairs,
• Shimano STI (road and MTB) and Campag Ergo shifter servicing,
• Frame alignment and machining,
• Custom wheel building, and a
• Bike fitting service so that you’re super-comfy on your bike.

Our CBD location means we’re easy to access, plus you can take advantage of our free loan bike option if you need to keep going on two wheels!

Service Levels and Charges

At BMCR, we don’t believe in fixed price servicing because this system assumes that everything will go wrong with your bike and means you end up getting charged the maximum rate. We simply work on an hourly rate, thus charging only for the time spent on your individual repair. We find that’s fairest for everyone!

There are various levels of service which can be undertaken; each bike is taken on its individual requirements and costing is worked out accordingly. As a general guide:

• a full service, including regreasing and adjusting bearings, lubing and/or replacing cables, and straightening wheels generally costs between $100 - $120 plus parts
• front or rear suspension servicing is usually between $120 and $150 per end, including seals, grease, and oil
• a customised bicycle fitting costs $80 for the hour plus any parts (if required)
• disc brake bleeding costs $30 per end. A full strip down, clean, and re-build service is also available for $60 per end
• all aspects of frame alignment + facing issues are costed on a job-by-job basis; this is best done in-store.
