Who are Whyte?
Whyte is a UK brand which has been around for over a decade. Initially known for its kooky designs (theoretically they worked but, well, they looked like this), over the past 10 years it has evolved into an innovative and revolutionary design house.
Whyte bikes are tortionally rigid with a high level of pedalling efficiency while still maintaining good shock absorption. Beautifully engineered, tight, and light! Just like a supermodel. As far as we know.
Range
Model: Portobello
Designed with the commuter in mind, the Portobello features MTB-inspired geometry - it's nippy around the corners but still stable at high speed. It can take a rear rack, mudguards, and two bottle cages, and also features hydraulic disc brakes, removable security skewers, puncture-resistant Maxxis tyres, and a compact crankset to keep you moving up the hills. The relaxed riding position also means you've got great visibility for the road ahead, or for checking out interesting pubs on the way home from work.
- Aluminium frame and fork
- Long wheelbase and relaxed head angle for high speed stability
- Weight: 10.4 kg

Model: Cambridge (2013)
Like the Portobello, the Cambridge is a speedy but stable ride; it zips into side streets with ease but won't alarm you with any unexpected wobbles or flex. You've got the same relaxed riding position, disc brakes, removable security skewers, and rack, guard, and water bottle mounts as the Portobello, but the Cambridge boasts a carbon fork to lighten things up a bit.

This is our best-selling Whyte!
