German component manufacturer Syntace offers strong, light, smart ("in that order," they say) bike components. After all, what's the point of a component being lightweight if it doesn't offer the features you'd expect from a high-end piece?
Syntace is proud to perform all their elaborate and extensive testing in-house, allowing them to offer you a 10 year warranty, even if you're using their products in competition. No component leaves the facility until absolutely ready for the market and your race bike. Another thing that makes this company unique is that they don't do the yearly revised product range; instead, improvements always flow straight into the next production run. And how's this for some trivia? Syntace introduced component-marked torque specifications to the bicycle industry! Swish.
Note: we can get a full range of Syntace products - just a taster is listed below. If you want something specific, please ask!
What've we got?
Model: Duraflite Carbon 254 Handlebars
Syntace say the Duraflite Carbon handlebars are the next step in the evolution of MTB bars... and we have to agree. Ridiculously light and strong, they're reinforced through the stem section with anti-crush titanium latticed mesh. The carbon is stiff but absorbs impacts and vibrations beautifully.
- Weight: 129g
- Width: 580mm wide
- Clamp: 25.4mm
- Sweep: 8 degree sweep
- 10 year warranty
Model: Duraflite Carbon 318 Handlebars
Like the 254 handlebars, the Duraflite Carbon 318s are super-light and super-strong. What more do you need? More stuff? Oh, fine. In addition to being reinforced with in-moulded titanium lattice mesh and absorbing shock better than your parents, this carbon model also boasts an evolved design: on the top it's flat like an XC bar, whereas the underside is like a low riser. There you go. More stuff.
- Weight: 143g (600mm), 151 (630mm)
- Width: 600mm or 630mm
- Clamp: 31.8mm
- Sweep: 8 degree
- 10 year warranty
Model: Vector 31.8 7075 Handlebar
For those who prefer an aluminium bar, the Vector 31.8 7075s offer 760mm of tree-flattening power in two different sweeps. Whether you pick the 8 or 12 degree options, both will keep you ergonomically comfortable and relaxed, because no-one likes to feel as if their wrists or neck are about to snap like twigs. These bars are also designed to last and last, even if you're a smackety-bang kind of downhiller.
- Weight: 298g
- Width: 760mm (can be shortened to 640mm)
- Rise: 10mm
- Clamp: 31.8mm
- Sweep: 8 or 12 degrees
- 10 year warranty
Model: Racelite2 Carbon 31.8 Handlebars
These (carbon - surprise!) bars are not only light but also designed to be very comfortable in the drops, thanks to their compact position. The clamping section is reinforced with titanium mesh for protection and to enhance your head stem's grip. If you're a racer, or like your sprinting on the aggressive side, the Racelight2s are your secret weapon.
- Weight: 214g - 226g (M-XL)
- Width: 420mm - 460mm (M-XL)
- Drop: 145mm (M/L), 151mm (XL)
- Clamp: 31.8mm
- Can take aerobars as well
- 10 year warranty
Model: Racelite CDR Carbon 31.8 Handlebars
Light, compact and popular, the Racelite CDRs are ideal for weekend warriors. Because of their shape, there's less difference in position when switching from the top of the bars to the drops, so they're also perfect for shorter riders who may have trouble with reach on other bars. Like the Racelite2s, they're reinforced through the clamping section with titanium mesh and offer a 6 degree sweep
- Weight: 206g - 226g (S-XL)
- Width: 400mm - 460mm (M-XL)
- Drop: 129mm (S/M/L), 133mm (XL)
- Clamp: 31.8mm
- Can take aerobars as well
- 10 year warranty
Model: P6 Carbon Seat Post
Now this is a seatpost worth the buzz. The P6 Carbon Hi-Flex is the most elaborate carbon-fibre seatpost on the market. What does that mean for you? It's unsurpassed in comfort. If you're looking for a shock-absorbing seatpost, this is the one. Andrew, the third member of BMCR, is a huge fan. As he says, "it smooths out the bumps, particularly if you're on a hardtail, and it's light!" In addition, the clamp design is very clever - it can take a wide range of fore and aft saddle positions while providing enormous rail support, combined with simple no-slip and incrementless angle adjustment.
- Carbon fibre body, aluminium clamp
- Weight: 226g (27.2mm) through to 232g (34.9mm)
- Diameter: 27.2mm, 30.9mm, 31.6mm or 34.9mm
- Length: 300mm, 400mm or 480mm (34.9 only)
- Loads of adjustability
- 10 year warranty
Model: P6 Alloy Seat Post
If your budget doesn't quite stretch to carbon, the P6 Aluminium seat post is still a great option! Like the carbon version, the clever design allows a lot of fore/aft saddle adjustability while maintaining lots of support for the seat rails. The angle adjustment is precise and non-slip, leaving you with a light, bomb-proof alloy seat post.
- Aluminium
- Weight: 256g (380mm) through to 313g (480mm)
- Diameter: 27.2mm, 30.9mm, 31.6mm or 34.9mm

Model: Force 109 Head Stem
The Force 109 is incredibly light but also bombproof. The 3-D forged and shot-peened manufacturing process makes a much more durable and also carbon-handlebar-friendly stem than other CNC-machined stems in the same weight category. It comes with lightweight titanium screws and is available from 60mm to 120mm.
- Weight: 96g - 126g (60 - 120mm)
- Stem clamp diameter: 28.6mm
- Stem clamp height: 38.5mm
