Who are Commencal?
Commençal Bikes use the expertise of BOS Engineering's Frederic Bernard and Olivier Bossard to create the most efficient bikes on the market. BOS's Formula 1 background gives Commençal the edge in suspension design and geometry. Their dual-suspension bikes feature the unique Contact System which provides maximum traction on small impacts, comfort throughout the entire suspension travel, and a progressive suspension rate so the bike doesn't bottom out on big impacts.
The Commençal design team have produced bikes which have won over 70 World Championship titles across the sport. Commencal riders have included Cedric Gracia (UCI World Cup ranking: 8th in 4X, 10th in DH), multi-time DH Marathon European Champion Remy Absalon, and the podium-dominating Atherton family of Dan, Gee, and Rachel.
But how do you pronounce it?
Comm-En-Sarl. Not 'comm-en-kall'. Or (God forbid) 'commercial'. OK, it's hard to get right, but why would you mind when the bikes are so nice?

Model: Meta AM 2 (2012)
A king among trail bikes! The versatile Meta range has an amazing worldwide reputation, and has been given some of the highest praise a bike can get, including listing among the 10 Best Bikes of the Decade in the UK's MBR mag. The Meta AM combines sublime downhill performance with a pedaling system which virtually eliminates the energy sap of pedal bob.
